Norma G (NSW) Aged 74: My daughter bought this book and together we worked through it. It wasn't an easy task to correlate all the bits of paper, photos and clippings I've kept over the years, but this book made the job much easier. Instead of a pile of things with no idea what to do with it, we got organised. A year on we are almost finished, but I would just like to say thank you for giving me the incentive to finally write my story for my grandkids. We are hoping to have it finished by Christmas. Beverly M (QLD) Aged 65: Angus R (Vic) Aged 67: I'm an old bushie from way back and have always had the idea in my mind that I'd like to write a book about my life. My wife came across your book on e-bay and got it for my birthday. Well, I no longer had an excuse not to start, did I? Thank you so much for all the helpful tips and best of all the idea that really anyone can do this. Having never written much more than a letter, I started putting aside an hour each day to write. My wife is tired of all the piles of paper, but I'm nearly halfway there I reckon. I look forward to the day when I've got a real book in my hands and it's all about me! |
Elsie J (QLD) Aged 81: I would just like to give your book a round of applause for helping me re-start the memoirs I started writing almost 20 years ago. I got so bogged down and disorganised that I just didn't have the confidence to continue. With the helpful advice from your book I got everything sorted out properly and I am now the proud owner of a new (well second hand) computer to start typing it. David P (Tas) Aged 61: Thanks for your advice to join a writer's group, it has been such a great boost in helping me write my autobiography. I showed your book to a couple of the people there and we all started working on our stories. Sometimes we seem to talk more than write, but we are making definite progress. I also liked the idea of reading lots of other biographies and autobiographies, it helped me a lot in understanding the best way to approach mine. Thanks so much. |
